Ken Eller - known to many as "The Captain” - has enjoyed a remarkable 40 year piping career at the premier grade 1 level.
With two bands he has collectively won 15 North American Pipe Band Championships: the 78th Fraser Highlanders and the Clan MacFarlane Pipe Band.
He has now retired from active competition and has expanded his involvement to instruction. His aim is to be of service to both students who participate in his workshops and those long-distance needing special assistance.
He has been a member of the Piper's and Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) since 1962 and is also a member of the Eastern US Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA).
In 1985 he was admitted to the panel of adjudicators for both of these organizations. In 2005 he qualified for The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA) adjudication panel and has been judging regularly in Scotland and Ireland since.
As a talented workshop leader he is in steady demand everywhere the pipes are played.
